Default warrior/paragon concept

I figure this kind of question should have poped up earlier, but couldn't find through searching what I'm looking for.

So I've been getting bored with my dervish, and thought of dusting off my warrior for a while. And to move away from melee's a bit, I was considering a spear build. Now,

1) how would a W/P spear be in terms efficiency, both pve and pvp compared to a regular sword/axe warrior? Since I'm stuck with a spear mastery attribute at 12 sounds a bit low as with what I see, 12+1+1. I'm not looking to taking over the paragon's role, but I was looking to benefit me and the party with it's shouts, wich without the para's energy managment primary, might not be so easy.

2) since I haven't played with a paragon a lot, are there any decent builds somoene could sugest me? Looked on pvx wiki, but can't find anything spear-related.

3) kinda the same as 1, but is this idea viable, enough that it could match up to a regular melee warrior, even in pvp?

Thanks.

Well for one you will not be mroe effective with a spear as opposed to a hammer/axe/sword. It is perfectly feasible but I would not say it is as good.

Stunning Strike W/Ps are quite strong for small (4 players per team) PVP areas. They're also quite useful in PVE.

Barbed Spear
Maiming Spear
Stunning Strike
Flail
Lion's Comfort
Shield Bash (for PVP)
Enraging Charge
Res Sig

For PVE swap Shield Bash for Blazing Spear or something.

12+1+1 Str
12 Spear

Well, you have the best shout in the game for PvE, with Save Yourselves. You can also slap on TntF, but that's a bit E-heavy for a warrior. Maybe Burning Refrain or Mending Refrain. But I'd pretty much stick with something like what Productivity posted. Spear or not, you're still a warrior, and won't have the E-renewal that a paragon gets from using their shouts/chants.

^TNTF scales with Leadership. It's next to useless on any character that's not a Paragon.

On topic, it's not bad, but it's certainly not good when you can just be a normal awesome warrior. Productivity's bar is a pretty good one, I'd probably swap Shield Bash for For Great Justice for PvE play.

Spears are good, but not going to match up with any other warrior weapon simply due to the fact that wars are better up front smashing away.

In pvp the bar above works, but for pve i wouldnt bother with some of the skills listed, such as barbed spear or maiming. Cripple and bleeding just aint so great in pve. Also with the pve skills, bring them in to improve ur build. Spear of Fury has some nice damage, battle standard of honor will increase overall team output, and SY is always imba.

Well I don't care if it doesn't completely live up to a melee warrior, I'm doing this for the fun more than anything else. Of course I wouldn't run something I'd know it'd be handicaped from the begining, but since it's not that much of a diference I'll give it a try. Thanks for your help

Just a thing i forgot to mention, ur still a warrior dealing damage. Bring some form of deep wound. Merciless if you arent using cruel spear, or whatever the energy one is that deals on cracked armor if u have some form of cracked on ur team.
